How to Greet People in Korean 🇰🇷✨

Greeting someone properly is one of the most important parts of speaking Korean. Even if you only know a few words, using a polite greeting can leave a kind and respectful impression.

안녕하세요 is the most common and safest way to say hello in everyday situations. If you want to be extra polite, a small bow is also common when greeting someone.

One important thing to remember is that Korean has different speech levels. That means the way you speak can change depending on the person’s age or your relationship with them. When in doubt, it’s always best to choose the polite form.
